UK-Latvia joint declaration of cooperation

UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and the Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs signed a joint declaration in London on 6 December 2021.

This was published under the 2019 to 2022 Johnson Conservative government

The declaration aims to:

  • forge stronger UK-Latvian trade and technology ties
  • enhance cooperation in tackling cyber-security issues, protecting democratic values and freedoms and tackling malign state threats
