Learn and Earn - Apprentice Recruitment Open
NRS is delighted to announce that we are recruiting over 30 level 2 – 6 engineering and business apprentices to deliver our decommissioning mission.
John Vickerman, Chief People Officer, commented: “NRS is an exciting place to be. We need new talent, people who are tuned into our values on diversity and inclusion, who care about the environment and the generations to come. These apprenticeship opportunities are suited to those who want to succeed and be part of a great team that is delivery focused, transformative, innovative and growing.”
It is vital that we attract apprentices that can bring fresh ideas into our rapidly expanding business and have a fantastic time earning as they learn in our inclusive and friendly workplaces.
We currently employ over 2,300 highly skilled people who all contribute to safely restoring the first generation nuclear and research sites for all our futures.
Apprentices are a crucial part of that mix, whether school leavers, those returning to work after a break or looking for a different career direction.”
The range of opportunities available will see apprentices based at our NRS sites across the UK and at our Bristol business hub, where a hybrid blend of home and workplace working will be supported.
The vacancies are currently being advertised on the Energus website and via Indeed and Job Centre Plus. We also have a dedicated apprentice trainee scheme at Dounreay, which offers an opportunity to be involved in some of the UK’s most leading-edge technical projects, developing unique skills and experiences which are highly sought after across the industry. Recruitment begins on 15 January 2024, closing on 16 February. For more information and to apply visit the NRS Dounreay careers at Dounreay Careers website.
NRS is committed to creating a workplace that is diverse and inclusive. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities and in particular those that are currently under-represented in our workforce. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, candidates with disabilities and female candidates. Our recruitment process is fair, transparent and based on merit.
