LGFS interim payments and cracked trial fees training

Legal Aid Transformation online training module available on Litigator Graduated Fee Scheme (LGFS) interim payments from 15 September 2014.

Online training is available from 15 September 2015 which will cover the:

  • introduction of interim payments for the LGFS
  • cracked trial fee changes for advocates and litigators

The new module is being added to the Provider Training website and will help providers to prepare for the introduction of the above reforms.

The interim payments reform and cracked trial fee changes for advocates and litigators are due to be introduced on 2 October 2014, subject to parliamentary approval.

As for previous Legal Aid Transformation (LAT) training modules, a printable workbook is available on the website alongside the training modules.

Accessing the training

To access the training you will need to register on the Provider Training site and complete all the required fields.

Anyone who has an Legal Aid Agency (LAA) office account number and a practising certificate number should have them to hand when registering.

Advocates or anyone else who do not can still register without this information.

Changes ahead

Further legal aid changes are due to be introduced later this year and we will provide online training modules nearer the time.
