Road users are advised that there are long delays on the M1 in Bedfordshire following an incident.

Road users are advised that there are long delays on the M1 in Bedfordshire following an incident. The road is closed northbound and southbound between junctions 12 and 13.

The incident happened just after 12.30pm today (Tuesday) which has caused a full closure of the M1 in both directions. Police and Highways Agency Traffic Officers are currently at the scene dealing with the incident.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and allow extra time for their journey as there are delays in the area.

The motorway will fully reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
