Guidance on how to sell your catch direct
Due to the government regulation regarding Covid-19 we are working from home. Applications for RBS should be scanned/photographed to Registrationof.BuyersandSellersRBS@defra.gov.uk and also posted to the Preston office.
In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we have received questions on the rules around selling your catch direct. We have produced the following guidance document to guide fishers through this process - How to sell your catch direct
If you want to fish commercially and sell your fish you may be subject to regulations depending on your fishing method. If you are fishing recreationally or using a charter vessel you are also subject restrictions on selling your catch.
If you want to purchase fish you may need to register and submit sales information to the fisheries authority. The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) registers buyers and sellers operating in England.
