Lord-Lieutenant for Surrey: Michael More-Molyneux
The Queen has appointed Mr Michael More-Molyneux DL as Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey.
The Queen has been pleased to appoint Mr Michael More-Molyneux DL as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey to succeed Dame Sarah Goad when she retires on 23 August 2015.
Biographical notes
Michael More Molyneux has lived in the county all his life. His family has been there for 5 centuries. A businessman, he runs Loseley Park Farms. He is a former Chair of Visit Surrey and President of the Surrey County Agricultural Society. He is a main board member of the Historic Houses Association and also chairs the South East Region and is also a Director of the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. He gives active support to a number of voluntary causes. These include Shooting Star Chase; the military, as Vice-President of the Surrey Branch of SSAFA; and as Chairman of the Guildford Cathedral Appeal. The family donated land to build a children’s hospice which is named after their middle son Christopher.
Mr More-Molyneux lives at Loseley with his wife Sarah. They have 2 surviving sons and a daughter.
