The Mansion House Scholarship Scheme exists to fund scholarships for students and young business executives from overseas to travel to the United Kingdom to study or to undertake training or work experience in the Financial Services Sector. The Scheme was established in 1998 and is administered as a Charitable Trust.

Some one hundred and twenty scholarships have now been awarded by successive Lord Mayors over the past fifteen years, with recipients selected from fifty countries. Awards are restricted to those applying to study or to undertake training in the Financial Services sector or in related subjects. Whilst many scholars study for Masters Degrees at British Universities, some attend training course or undertake internships with firms based within the City of London.

Further details of the scholarship can be found at the website. Applicants should use the approved Application Form - Mansion House Scholarship (MS Word Document, 97 KB) and complete it with information concerning family, educational and professional backgrounds, together with an indication of what training is being sought in UK - and why, coupled with academic and professional references as appropriate. Applications should be sent to VietnamLM.Scholarship@fco.gov.uk before July 31 2014.
