Maureen Campbell has been appointed as a Board Member of UK Sport
The Secretary of State has appointed Maureen Campbell as the Scotland Board Member for UK Sport from 01 June 2024 to 31 May 2028.

Maureen has been involved in sport for many years as an athlete, coach and team manager. She is a former chair of Scottish Swimming and a board member of British Swimming. She was awarded an OBE for services to swimming in 2019. Maureen is a former vice chair of Commonwealth Games Scotland. She was formerly chief executive of Falkirk Community Trust. Maureen brings to the Board her knowledge and experience of operating in the Scottish sporting pathway to develop outstanding athletes and coaches at all levels.
Remuneration and Governance Code
Members of the UK Sport Board are remunerated £218 per day for up to 24 days per annum.This appointment has been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office’s Governance Code on Public Appointments. The appointments process is regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. Under the Code, any significant political activity undertaken by an appointee in the last five years must be declared. This is defined as including holding office, public speaking, making a recordable donation, or candidature for election. Maureen Campbell has not declared any significant political activity.
