Minister for Africa offers condolences following Ghana fire

James Duddridge sends his thoughts to the people of Ghana following a fatal fire in Accra

Speaking after news of the fire, Minister for Africa James Duddridge said:

I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of life following a fire at a petrol station in Accra after heavy storms. My thoughts are with the families and friends of those affected at this difficult time.

The UK and Ghana have a deep-rooted relationship. We stand ready to assist the Ghanaian authorities in any way we can.
