Ministerial appointments: 21 December 2016
The Queen has approved new ministerial appointments for HM Treasury, DWP, Department of Health and the Department for Business.

The Queen has been pleased to approve the following ministerial appointments:

Baroness Neville-Rolfe DBE CMG as Commercial Secretary (Minister of State) at Her Majesty’s Treasury (having previously been a Minister of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy)

Rt Hon Lord Henley as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State* at the Department for Work and Pensions in addition to his current role as a Government Whip (Lord in Waiting)

Lord O’Shaughnessy as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State* at the Department of Health and a Government Whip (Lord in Waiting)

Lord Prior of Brampton as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (having previously been a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health)

Baroness Buscombe and Baroness Vere of Norbiton as Government Whips (Baronesses in Waiting*)
Other changes:
- Baroness Chisholm of Owlpen previously a Government Whip (Baroness in Waiting) has left the government
- Baroness Goldie DL continues as a Government Whip (Baroness in Waiting) but will be unpaid
- Baroness Shields OBE continues as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State* at the Home Office (but has ceased to be a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport)
