Clean and Cool Missions connect UK businesses with the worldwide cleantech ecosystem

The latest Clean and Cool Mission starred UK companies whose innovations address some of the most pressing environmental challenges faced by society today.

7 days, 15 companies, 1 mission

Organised by Innovate UK, The Long Run Venture , UK Trade and Investment and CoSpA (the Co-Sponsorship Agency) Missions enable UK companies to:

  • get unparalleled access to the US cleantech ecosystem
  • learn from key leaders and peers in their field
  • showcase their innovations to potential investors and partners

The distinctive blend of group events and presentations, followed by one-to-one meetings with investors is a tried and tested way to sow the seeds for future investment and partnerships.

Innovate UK’s director of technology and innovation Kevin Baughan said:

The level of investment achieved by previous Mission attendees is incredible with over half a billion pounds of investment flowing into UK firms as a result of their involvement.

Dr Mike Pitts, Lead Specialist, Sustainability at Innovate UK commented:

The high energy schedule of Missions is demanding as well as exciting, but the companies really rose to the challenge, making the connections and having the conversations that are often the start of something really big. It’s inspiring for us and for them.

Many of the companies will be back in San Francisco in March for the annual Cleantech Forum San Francisco 2015 to follow up hot leads, arrange meetings and complete deals.

James Hygate of Green Fuels Research said:

The Clean and Cool Mission to San Francisco has been invaluable - we refined our story, changed our vote on what type of investor we are looking for and we are possibly forming a partnership with another bio-fuel provider.
