The conference will be followed by an evening reception marking the launch of the new VisitBritain marketing campaign in India titled ‘Find Your GREAT Britain’.

They will also consider how the UK and India are collaborating to develop technologies and innovations with global impact.
The summit will be the centrepiece of a month-long series of events promoting trade and partnership between the UK and India during January and February 2018. Each event will focus on how technology-driven innovation is enabling creative output and delivering new products and services.
Over 100 British companies from the film, music, healthcare, imersive technology, industrial design and sport sectors will take part in the Createch month. They will have the opportunity to connect with Indian companies, investors, and central and state-level government officials who are interested in partnering with leading innovators in design and technology.
Crispin Simon, British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India and the Director General of Department for International Trade, India and South Asia said:
We are extremely excited to host the Department for International Trade’s first conference in India dedicated to the creative application of some of the world’s most advanced technologies.
Increasingly, businesses must collaborate with each other in order to compete successfully in markets. That is getting disrupted by the advance of these pioneering new techniques.
We hope that in convening Indian and UK businesses at the forefront of their sectors, we will create a unique opportunity for these leaders to partner and do business with like-minded firms with an appetite for innovation.
Trade missions from a diverse group of sectors will travel the breadth of the country during Createch month showcasing UK innovation and technology.
Indian businesses keen to partner and hear from world-leading design and technology experts will also be able to meet them at The Football Movement Conference in Mumbai on 22 to 23 February and Auto Expo Component 2018 in Delhi on 8 to 11 February.
Sir Malcolm Grant, Chairman, NHS England said:
I am delighted to lead the upcoming delegation to India featuring some of the leading innovators from within the NHS and its private sector suppliers and partners.
In celebrating 70 years of the NHS, we must recognise some of the greatest innovations of the past, present and imminent future.
India and the UK both have a strong heritage of innovation and of supporting the growth of technology within industry.
DIT is pleased to be supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative by connecting cutting-edge UK technology expertise with Indian businesses and government seeking opportunities for collaboration.
Mike McGee Chief Commercial Officer and co-founder, Framestore said:
Mumbai is at the heart of the fast-growing Indian film and advertising industries. I am excited to be a part of this DIT mission to India, coinciding with the India-UK Createch Summit.
