Music Education in Schools
“i3zif fi Madrasati”
UK-funded project “i3zif fi Madrasati” is the first programme in the Arab world to provide high quality music education through a blended online/offline model. With the British Embassy’s support, @i3zif are expanding their successful pilot to 30 schools across Jordan, and were able to raise more funds from other sponsors to support their vision of reaching more than a 100 schools. Reported achievements include discovery of talent, decrease in school violence, developed social behavior and self confidence through music education and music performance. The project consists of three elements: providing video tutorials for school students to learn on their own, providing musical instruments, and on-ground visits by the i3zif team of musicians to discover talent, inspire students and measure impact by technical means. Today, we are delighted to share with you this success story of Music Education. We believe that young people possess great talents and so much potential. Schools must encourage an environment of creativity and innovation to eliminate any possible violent behavior in schools. Creative minds will build a more stable and prosperous future for Jordan.
