New guide for civilians working on military exercises

The Stabilisation Unit has published a new deployee guide

afghanistan

The Stabilisation Unit has produced a guide aiming to provide civilians with an idea of what they might encounter when working on a military exercise. This paper is written in civilian language, intended for an audience that may not have experience within the military. It is now available on the Stabilisation and Conflict Learning Resource.

A military exercise intends to train a headquarters in how it plans and executes its operational intent. As part of this process civilian advisers and subject matter experts are often involved, and this guide aims to prepare them for the experience.

The Stabilisation Unit produces a number of publications, all available on the Stabilisation and Conflict Learning Resource under Publications. This guide should be read in conjunction with the Stabilisation Unit publication Deployee Guide to working in a Military Headquarters.
