New job opportunity at the British Embassy in Paraguay

Do you have a background in economics or commerce, with a good eye for spotting new trends and business opportunities? Are you also a successful project manager? Would you like to lead our work to increase the economic prosperity of both the United Kingdom and Paraguay? If so, the British Embassy is looking to employ a full-time Prosperity & Project Officer to lead on the Embassy’s prosperity/economic development agenda, identifying opportunities for UK businesses in the commercial sector; managing projects that make a direct contribution to the UK’s objectives in Paraguay; and administering the UK government’s prestigious Chevening Scholarship programme in Paraguay.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal and communications skills and is likely to have at least three years relevant experience. You will have a sound knowledge of the Paraguayan economy and business opportunities. A background in economics or commerce and project management would be an advantage.

You must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish and have good IT skills. Your language and IT skills will be tested prior to interview if your application is shortlisted.
