New lighting columns for A69 West Denton
Work to replace lighting columns on the A69 at West Denton, near Newcastle will take place next week.
Highways Agency Project Manager, Kyle Maylard, said:
We will be replacing the old street lights on a 1.2 mile (2km) stretch of the A69 with a new LED lighting system. The new lights will be more energy and carbon efficient, and will improve safety for drivers.
The work will take place overnight from Monday 21 July to Friday 31 October between the A1/A69 roundabout and west of the West Denton roundabout, from 7pm to 7am. During the work there will be lane closures and reduced speed limits in place.
