Non-Executive Director appointed to Gov Facility Services Limited

The Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor has appointed a Non-Executive Director to Gov Facility Services Limited.

The Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor has appointed James Hayward as a Non-Executive Director to the GFSL board from 1 April 2020 for three years.

GFSL is part of the Ministry of Justice, set up in February 2018 as a limited, not for profit company. Its role is to provide facilities management (FM) services to the prisons in the South of England.

James is a Professional Chartered Engineer with 40+ years’ experience, in medium and large sized acute NHS healthcare settings. He is currently semi-retired and is employed part time as a capital projects and infrastructure manager at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust leading on a number of major capital projects. He is also the chairman of Beyond Housing and a Trustee of the First Light Trust.

James has declared no political activity.
