The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is pleased to confirm the reappointment of two current Non- Executive Directors (NEDs) for a further three years.
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is pleased to confirm the reappointment of two current Non- Executive Directors (NEDs) for a further three years. Lord (Gary) Porter CBE and Jeffrey Dodds will continue to advise the department until June 2027.
Lord Porter and Jeff Dodds joined the Board in 2021 and provide independent advice and challenge across multiple policies.
Lord Porter offers a particular depth of experience from his career in local government and construction to advise on the department’s work across these sectors, especially on remediation and working with local government.
Jeff Dodds brings expertise around digital and innovation, drawing on his experience at Formula E and Virgin to advise on corporate issues and improve ways of working.
They will continue their work alongside the existing team of NEDs, led by Dame Alison Nimmo DBE, to provide valuable advice, scrutiny and challenge on DLUHC’s work and governance.
Non-Executive directors at the department have experience key aspect of the department’s core policy programme, such as local government or housing. Some members also have experience in the delivery of large-scale, complex programmes and projects which help with the running of the department and the development of government policy.
