Non-UK authorised worming tablets seized

Biheldon cat and dog wormers seized at East Midlands Airport.

A package containing a non-UK authorised medicine was identified by a courier company based at a depot at East Midlands Airport. 

The package arrived from Bulgaria containing medicine destined for a residential address in Shropshire.  

The medicine was detained and subsequently seized by an inspector.

The following medicine was seized:  

  • 108 x boxes of Biheldon tablets for animals

This product was intended for use in dogs and cats and is not an authorised veterinary medicine in the UK. The medicine was seized under Regulation 25(1) (Importation of an unauthorised veterinary medicinal product) of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013 (as amended).
