NWS CEO Corhyn Parr to step down in March 2025

Recruitment process begins for her successor

Corhyn Parr, Chief Executive Officer of Nuclear Waste Services

After six years with the NDA group, Corhyn Parr, Chief Executive Officer of Nuclear Waste Services, has decided to move on from the role in March 2025. Nuclear Waste Services will be commencing a recruitment process to appoint Corhyn’s successor.

Corhyn Parr said:

It has been an incredible journey leading this organisation. Bringing together two organisations to create Nuclear Waste Services, engaging with communities in the siting process for hosting a Geological Disposal Facility, and commencing final capping of historic trenches and vaults at our low level waste repository are just some of the highlights.

For this I am proud and extremely grateful to all my colleagues, in Nuclear Waste Services and across the NDA group. I look forward to seeing their continued success.

Liz Peace CBE, Chair of Nuclear Waste Services, said:

On behalf of Nuclear Waste Services, I extend our gratitude to Corhyn for her outstanding leadership and vision. Corhyn has been pivotal in establishing a unified organisation to address historical waste but also provide a more sustainable and efficient service to current and future waste producers. Importantly, Corhyn has embedded our core values into every aspect of our operations, ensuring we act in the best interests of the nation, the environment, and our people.

David Peattie, Chief Executive Officer at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority said:

I am extremely grateful to Corhyn for her substantial contributions to the NDA group over the past six years. Corhyn is a formidable leader within our sector, and we wish her every success in her future endeavours.
