Judicial investigations in DRC into allegations of sexual violence committed by DRC UN peacekeepers in CAR

British Ambassador Graham Zebedee comments on judicial investigations in the DRC into allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse committed by UN peacekeepers from the DRC in the Central African Republic.

This was published under the 2015 to 2016 Cameron Conservative government

“Welcome news that Government of DRC has started military court proceedings against DRC soldiers accused of SEA.

Crucial that investigations are concluded in a timely manner and court proceedings take place in a transparent way to ensure proper accountability.

We support all efforts to uphold the UN’s zero tolerance approach.”
