LLWR opened its doors to neighbours from the parishes of Drigg and Carleton, Seascale and Ravenglass for a special Repository Development Programme (RDP) Open Day held at our Eskdale Court facility at Greengarth.
The Open Day, including site tour, charted the phases of RDP, our new programme that runs until 2051, under which trenches, existing and new vaults will be capped.
Senior staff members including Dennis Thompson, Managing Director, were on hand to answer some challenging questions from an informed community, but LLWR was delighted at the positive feedback received on the day.
