Join the UK digital health demonstration centre in the week of 19th January 2015 as it travels to Beijing and Guangzhou, 2 of the most opportunity rich cities in China.

The UK digital health demonstration centre is located in Zhejiang Province. Healthcare UK and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) China are building on its success and inviting innovative providers of digital health solutions and services to take part in the centre’s next event.

The NHS and its suppliers enjoy a great reputation in China, which is set to take its annual healthcare funding to $1 trillion by 2020. Digital health is seen as vital to achieving the Chinese government’s healthcare reforms.

UK digital health demonstration centre

The UK digital health demonstration centre is a government funded initiative. It takes a limited number of innovative providers of digital health solutions and services companies to important locations in China. It also offers a high-profile platform for a successful commercial entry into the Chinese market.

The first event took place in June when the ‘Healthcare is GREAT’ UK digital health demonstration centre opened at Ningbo Number 2 Hospital, Zhejiang Province.

Since then, nearly 200 senior Chinese healthcare officials, hospital leaders, professionals and key business people have visited the demonstration centre:

  • to meet participating companies
  • interact with their technology solutions
  • discuss commercial opportunities

What participants say about the UK digital health demonstration centre

Elaine Taylor-Whilde, CEO, Nine Health CIC

NHCIC have found the demonstration centre a rewarding and pleasurable experience. We have been able to fix several meetings for our return visits with companies, hospitals and other organisations wishing to genuinely take this forward.

We can whole heartedly recommend the programme for other UK companies interested in exploring any potential opportunities.

Gary Disley, Managing Director, Cerno Health

Overall a terrific event staged by UKTI and of significant commercial value to Cerno Health

Charlotte Mew, China Account Lead, TPP Ltd

We were really impressed with the level of delegates who attended.

They were all high level decision makers and this meant we made lots of good contacts and have some strong leads to follow up.
