OTS legislation
The legislation to put the OTS on a permanent, statutory basis has been published as part of the draft Finance Bill
Following the Chancellor’s announcement in the Summer Budget that the OTS is to be made permanent and put onto a statutory basis, the government has published draft legislation and explanatory notes, as part of the draft Finance Bill 2016 material published on 9 December. The clauses give effect to the Chancellor’s commitment and expand the OTS’s role.
