Overnight closure of M5 northbound from junction 7 to 8, Worcester
The Highways Agency is to resurface a section of the M5 northbound between junction 7 and 8 near Worcester from Wednesday 14 May.
The northbound carriageway will be closed between the two junctions for two nights, from 9pm to 7am.
M5 northbound traffic will be diverted off the motorway at junction 8 on to the M50 towards junction 1, then the A38, A4440 and A44 to rejoin the motorway at junction 5.
M50 traffic intending to join the M5 northbound will pick up the diversion from junction 1.
A short section of the carriageway will be resurfaced and road markings, studs and traffic detection loops replaced. To carry out the work safely the carriageway will be closed, overnight when traffic flows are lowest.
