Overnight closures at A45 eastbound Stonebridge Highway in Coventry
Three overnight closures of the A45 Stonebridge Highway eastbound carriageway will take place next week as the Tollbar scheme forges ahead.
Next Monday to Wednesday night (9,10 and 11 February) the eastbound carriageway will be closed between Stivichall junction and Tollbar roundabout. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am to allow the construction of five pipe crossings to take place.
Highways Agency Project Manager Paul Nagra, said:
The closures are necessary so that we can safely undertake excavation work and install new lighting and drainage pipes.
A clearly signposted diversion will be in place. I advise road users to plan their journeys and allow extra time if necessary.
The scheme will have long-term benefits for all road users by improving the flow of traffic and journey times.
During the closures, traffic will be diverted off Stivichall junction to the A444 northbound to Whitley. At Whitley roundabout motorists can take the second exit to the A4082 and then at the next roundabout near Asda, take the fourth exit to the B4110 London Road where traffic can join the Tollbar roundabout.
