Overnight closures required for A57 Hattersley Roundabout resurfacing
A project to resurface the A57 Hattersley roundabout between Hyde and Hollingworth in Tameside, Greater Manchester, is due to start next week on Monday 23 March.
The Highways Agency will be resurfacing the carriageway and also refurbishing drains along the route.
The work will require two stages of overnight closures, the first, for five nights from Monday 23 March to Friday 27 March. Work will then resume overnight on Monday 30 March for one night, weather permitting. All work will take place between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
Highways Agency Project Manager Tim Calvert said:
Different sections of the roundabout will be resurfaced each night. These sections will be closed sequentially and local diversion routes will be put in place. The work will also require local closures of the M67, A57 and A560 which all enter the roundabout.
We have undertaken overnight closures to cause minimal disruption to road users, and we would like to remind drivers to allow extra time for their journeys.
