Parole Board welcomes historic review into the treatment of BAME individuals
David Lammy has published his independent review into the treatment of, and outcomes for, BAME individuals in the criminal justice system.
The Parole Board welcomed the publication of David Lammy’s thorough and insightful review on racial bias and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) representation in the criminal justice system.
Martin Jones (Chief Executive) said: “the Parole Board is committed to ensuring that it treats people affected by the parole process fairly and with humanity. This review clearly illustrates the gaps that still exist in our criminal justice system and should act as a call for action by all agencies, including the Parole Board.”
