The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 19 February 2016 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
A38 Barton to Alrewas, West Midlands: pavement investigation
The southbound carriageway will be closed in overnight between 9pm and 6am from 22 February until 27 February. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 Toll Barr End to TGI Island, West Midlands: Installation of traffic management equipment
The northbound or southbound carriageway will be closed in overnight between 10pm and 6am from 22 February until 27 February. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Blurton Road to Stanley Matthews Way, West Midlands: carriageway works
The westbound carriageway including the entry slip road from Blurton Road and exit slip Road to Stanley Matthews Way will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm 22 February until 5am the following morning (23 February). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Foley Road, Longton to Meir Tunnel, West Midlands: singing and white lining
The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 5.30am from 23 February until 29 February. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A500 Stoke Road entry slip on A500, West Midlands: street lighting
The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 8pm 24 February until 6am the following morning (25 February). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M40 junction 3A/M40 northbound link to M42 northbound, West Midlands: carriageway maintenance
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for two nights between 8pm and 6am from 24 February until 26 February. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 junction 5 northbound exit and southbound entry slips, West Midlands: maintenance works
The northbound exit slip and southbound entry slip will be closed in overnight between 8pm and 6am from 22 February until 27 February. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 5 entry and exit slip roads, West Midlands: construction work for major scheme
The northbound and southbound slip roads will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 22 February until 28 February. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 junction 7 to A5 Preston Boats, West Midlands: removal of overhead cables
The carriageway will be closed in both directions for 3 hours in the morning of the 28 February from 4am until 7am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 5 entry slip, West Midlands: bridge repairs
There will be a full 24hour southbound entry slip closure from 18 January ongoing until 6am 30 June. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 6 exit slip, West Midlands: electrical work
The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10.30pm 22 February until 5am the following morning (23 February). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 8 M5 northbound link to M6 southbound link, West Midlands: carriageway resurfacing repairs
The northbound link of the M5 to the southbound link of the M6 carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 23 February until 6am the following morning (24 February). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 14 entry and exit slip roads, West Midlands: litter clearance
The southbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight for two nights between 9pm and 5am from 23 February until 25 February. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 junction 7 to junction 8, West Midlands: electrical work
The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 24 February until 5.30am the following morning (25 February). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
