The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M32 junction 2 to junction 3: MetroBus scheme (Bristol County Council work)
Narrow lanes with 40mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until April.
M32 junction 3 to junction 2: installation/removal of narrow lanes
Northbound and southbound carriageway will be closed nightly, from 8pm until 6am, between 20 March and 10 April. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M32 junction 2: installation/removal of narrow lanes
Northbound entry slip road will be closed from 9pm on 22 March until 6am on 23 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M32 junction 1: installation/removal of narrow lanes
Southbound entry slip road will be closed from 9pm 23 March until 6am on 24 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 18/18A (S Loop): street lighting repairs
Southbound exit slip road will be closed from 8pm on 23 March until 6am on 24 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 18/18A (U Loop): street lighting repairs
Northbound exit slip road (U Loop followed by M49 exit) will be closed from 8pm on 21 March until 6am 22 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 18/18A (Y Loop): street lighting repairs
Southbound entry slip road will be closed from 8pm on 22 March until 6am on 23 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Gloucestershire
M5 junction 11 Bamfurlong Bridge: structures
The bridge willl be closed to traffic from Monday 20 March until the end of April 2017. Diversion will be clearly signposted. The bridge will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists throughout the work.
M5 junction 10 to junction 11A: structures
Narrow lanes with contraflow and 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until July 2017.
M5 junction 11A to junction 12: surfacing
Southbound and northbound carriageway will be closed from 8pm 22 March until 6am on 23 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 11A: resurfacing
Southbound entry slip road will be closed nightly from 8pm until 6am, from 23 March until 25 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 11A: resurfacing
Northbound exit slip road will be closed from 8pm on 23 March until 6am on 24 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 Gloucester Gateway service area
Southbound exit slip roads into service area will be closed from 8pm on 21 March until 6am on 22 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 12: resurfacing
Northbound entry slip road will be closed from 8pm on 21 March until 6am on 22 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A40 Elmbridge Court roundabout: construction works
Narrow lanes with 40mph speed restrictions will be in place on Elmbridge Court Roundabout until September 2017.
Wiltshire
M4 junction 16: roundabout reconstruction
Narrow lanes with 40mph speed restrictions will be in place on the eastbound exit slip road and westbound exit slip road until October 2017.
Somerset
M5 junction 29: street lighting
Northbound exit slip road will be closed from 8pm on 23 March until 6am on 24 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
South Gloucestershire
M4 junction 20 (C, F and J Loop): sign repairs
Eastbound exit slip road and entry slip road will be closed from 8pm on 22 March until 6am on 23 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 junction 20 (D Loop): sign repairs
Westbound exit slip road will be closed from 8pm on 24 March until 6am on 25 March. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
