The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

Bristol

M32 junction 1 to junction 2: MetroBus scheme (Bristol City Council work)

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until 16 December.

M32 junction 2 to junction 3: MetroBus scheme (Bristol City Council work)

Narrow lanes with 40mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until mid-March 2017.

M32 junction 2 to junction 1: MetroBus scheme (traffic management removal)

Northbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 12 December until 17 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M32 junction 1 to junction 2: MetroBus scheme (traffic management removal)

Southbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 15 December until 17 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Gloucestershire

M5 junction 14 to junction 12: bridge maintenance

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until June 2017.

M5 junction 10 to junction 11A: structures

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until January 2017.

M5 junction 12: resurfacing

Northbound exit slip road will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 12 December until 14 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 12 December until 6am on 13 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 13: structures

Northbound carriageway between exit slip road and entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on 14 December until 6am on 15 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on 15 December until 6am on 16 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

A40 Elmbridge Court roundabout: construction work

Narrow lanes with 40mph speed restrictions will be in place until February 2018.

Wiltshire

M4 junction 16: roundabout reconstruction

Narrow lanes with 40mph speed restrictions will be in place on the eastbound exit slip road until October 2017.

A36 Crockerton to Deptford: white lining

Northbound and southbound carriageways will be closed overnight from 9pm on 15 December until 6am on 16 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

North Somerset

M5 junction 20: structure inspection work

Northbound carriageway between exit slip road and entry slip road will be closed overnight from 10pm on 12 December until 6am on 13 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Southbound carriageway between exit slip road and entry slip road will be closed overnight from 10pm on 13 December until 6am on 14 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

Somerset

M5 junction 22 to junction 23: barrier construction

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions and lane 3 closure will be in operation northbound and southbound until 22 December.

South Gloucestershire

M4 Second Severn Crossing: resurfacing

Eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 8pm on 11 December until 6am on 12 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 14: bridge deck work

Northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on 16 December until 6am on 17 December. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
