The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M32 junction 1 to junction 2: MetroBus scheme (Bristol City Council work)
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until the end of November.
Gloucestershire
M5 junction 14 to junction 12: bridge maintenance
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageway until June 2017.
M5 junction 10 to junction 11A: structures
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until mid-November.
M5 junction 11A: bridge joint repair
Northbound carriageway between exit and entry slip roads, including the R and U loops, will be closed overnight from 9pm on 19 September until 6am on 20 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M48 Severn Bridge: cable work
Eastbound and westbound carriageway will be closed from 6am on 24 September until 10pm on 25 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A40 Elmbridge Court roundabout: construction work
Lane closure will be in place on Elmbridge Court roundabout until February 2018.
Wiltshire
A36 Cley Hill to Crockerton: drainage
Southbound lane closure will be in place between Cley Hill and Crockerton until 28 October.
Somerset
A303 South Petherton to Southfields: bridge work
Eastbound lane closure will be in place nightly, with traffic lights, 9pm to 6am, Monday to Saturday only, until 7 October.
A303 Cartgate to Hayes End: white lining
Westbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 9pm on 19 September until 6am on 20 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 Hayes End to Cartgate: white lining
Eastbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 20 September until 23 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 Ilchester Meads to Podimore: white lining
Eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 9pm on 23 September until 6am on 24 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
