The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M32 junction 1 to junction 2: MetroBus scheme (Bristol City Council work)
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until the end of November.
M32 junction 2 to junction 3: MetroBus scheme (Bristol City Council work)
Northbound and southbound carriageways will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 3 October until 6 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Gloucestershire
M5 junction 14 to junction 12: bridge maintenance
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until June 2017.
M5 junction 10 to junction 11A: structures
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in operation northbound and southbound until mid-November.
M5 junction 11A: resurfacing
Southbound exit slip road will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 4 October until 6 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 12 to junction 14: traffic management work
Southbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 9pm on 8 October until 6am on 9 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 14 to junction 12: traffic management work
Northbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 9pm on 9 October until 6am on 10 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A40 Elmbridge Court roundabout: construction work
Lane closure will be in place until February 2018.
Wiltshire
A36 Cley Hill to Crockerton: drainage
Southbound lane closure will be in place until 28 October.
North Somerset
M5 junction 19: white lining
Northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 5 October until 6am on 6 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Southbound entry slip road will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 6 October until 8 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 20: white lining
Northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 4 October until 6am on 5 October and nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 6 October until 8 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M5 junction 21: survey
Northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 3 October until 6am on 4 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Somerset
M5 junction 25: resurfacing
Southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 4 October until 6am on 5 October and overnight from 8pm on 6 October until 6am on 7 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 South Petherton to Southfields: bridge work
Eastbound lane closure, with overnight traffic lights, will be in place nightly, 9pm to 6am, Monday to Saturday only, until 15 October.
A303 Ilchester Meads to Cartgate: survey
Westbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 3 October until 5 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A303 South Petherton to Southfields: bridge work
Eastbound and westbound carriageways will be closed nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 6 October until 8 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
South Gloucestershire
M5 junction 14 to junction 15: Western Power work
Northbound and southbound carriageways will be closed overnight from 9pm on 8 October until 6am on 9 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 Second Severn Crossing: maintenance
Westbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 4 October until 7 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Devon
M5 junction 30: resurfacing
Southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 8pm on 7 October until 6am on 8 October. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
