Planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week.
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M5 junction 19: maintenance
A full southbound exit slip closure will take place from 8pm 3 September until 6am the following morning. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
M4 between junction 19 – 20: bridge repairs
Full eastbound closure of the main carriageway between junction 19 exit and entry slips will take place from 10pm 1 September until 6am the following morning and from 10pm 3 September until 6am the following morning. Full westbound closure of the main carriageway between junction 19 exit and entry slips will take place nightly from 10pm 2 September until 6am 4 September. Diversions will be clearly signposted. All these closures are to facilitate the installation of narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions. Narrow lanes will be in place during the day with single lane running nightly from 9pm 2 September until 20 October.
Gloucestershire
M5 junction 10: bridge repairs
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageway until October 2015.
Full southbound closure of junction 13 exit slip with single lane running on main carriageway from 8pm 24 August until 6am 25 August. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
Wiltshire
A36 Codford to Deptford: signage and resurfacing works
Full closures will take place nightly from 8pm 1 September until 6am 4 September. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
A36 Beckington to Chapmanslade: resurfacing
Full closures will take place nightly from 8pm 1 September until 6am 5 September. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
