The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
Bristol
M32 junction 1 to junction 2: Metro Bus Scheme (Bristol CC works)
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions in operation northbound and southbound until the end of November 2016.
M32 junction 2 to junction 3: Network Rail bridge maintenance
Northbound and southbound carriageway will be closed nightly from 10pm 5 September until 6am 10 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 junction 20 to junction 19: smart motorway maintenance
Eastbound carriageway including C, G and H Loops will be closed from 10pm 6 September until 6am following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 junction 20 to junction 19: smart motorway maintenance
Eastbound carriageway including C, G and H Loops will be closed from 10pm 9 September until 6am following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M4 junction 19 to junction 20: smart motorway maintenance
Westbound carriageway including junction 19 entry slip road will be closed from 10pm 7 September until 6am following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.

M5 junction 17 to junction 16: smart motorway maintenance
Northbound carriageway including junction 17 entry slip road will be closed from 10pm 5 September until 6am following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
Gloucestershire
M5 junction 14 to junction 12: bridge maintenance
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the southbound and northbound carriageway until June 2017.
M5 junction 10 to junction 11A: structures
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions in operation northbound and southbound until the mid November 2016.
M5 junction 11A: bridge joint repairs
Northbound carriageway between exit and entry slip road including R and U loop will be closed nightly from 9pm 8 September until 6am 10 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M48 Severn Bridge: main cable works
Eastbound carriageway including junction 2 entry slip road will be closed from 7pm 7 September until 6am following morning. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
M48 Severn Bridge: surfacing
Eastbound carriageway including junction 2 entry slip road will be closed from 6am 10 September until 10pm 11 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
A40 Elmbridge Court roundabout: construction works
Lane closure will be in place on Elmbridge Court roundabout until February 2018

Southbound will be closed between A303 exit slip road and A303 entry slip road nightly from 8pm 3 September until 6am 6 September. Diversion will be clearly signposted.
