Planned roadworks in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Banes, Wiltshire, West Dorset. Weekly summary for Monday 20 October – Sunday 26 October 2014

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

Bristol

No planned works

Gloucestershire

M5 Junction 11a – Junction 12: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes with a width restriction of 5 metres, contraflows and speed restrictions will be in place during the day and occasional slip road and full carriageway closures will take place overnight. Work is expected to continue until June 2015.

M5 Junction 11 – 10: Bridge repairs

Narrow lanes and 50 mph speed restrictions will be in place until May 2015.

M5 Junction 10: Bridge Repairs

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restriction on the southbound carriageway will be in place until October 2015.

M5 Junction 12: Maintenance

The northbound exit slip road will be closed from 8pm on Wednesday 22 October until 6am the following morning. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

Wiltshire

M4 Junction 15 – 16: Geotechnical repairs

Narrow lanes with 50mph speed restrictions will be in place on the westbound carriageway until early December 2014.

North Somerset

M5 between Junction 23 – 24: Structures

Preparatory work for the set-up of narrow lanes will take place on the northbound and southbound carriageways, commencing nightly from 7pm on Monday 6 October until late October. Narrow lanes will be in place northbound and southbound from Monday 27 October. M5 southbound between Junction 23 – 24 including the southbound entry slip road at Junction 23 will be closed from 9pm until 6am the from Saturday 25 October until Monday 27 October. Diversions will be clearly signposted. M5 northbound between Junction 24 – 23 including the northbound entry slip road at Junction 24 will be closed from 9pm until 6am from Sunday 26 October until Monday 27 October. Diversions will be clearly signposted.

A303 Wincanton to Sparkford: Resurfacing

The westbound carriageway, slip road and layby will be closed from 8pm until 6am from Wednesday 15 October until Friday 7 November. Lane closures will be in place between 6am and 9pm at the weekends and daytime in the week. The diversion route will be clearly signposted.

Narrow lanes will be removed but single lane running will take place overnight until early November 2014.Ends
