The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 10 June but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
M3 junctions 2 (M25) to 4a Farnborough, Hampshire: smart motorway improvement
Work to reduce congestion and improve journey times continues this week with narrow lanes, a contraflow and a 50mph speed limit in place on both carriageways between junctions 2 and 4a, with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day until the end of 2016.
The southbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4a including junction 3 and 4 entry slip roads will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, on Monday 13 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A322, A30 and A327.
The southbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 including junction 3 entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Tuesday 14 June for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A322, A30 and A331.
The northbound carriageway between junctions 4 and 3 including junction 4 entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Monday 13 June for 4 nights and between 8pm and 7am on Friday 17 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A331, A30 and A322.

M3 junctions 5 Hook to junction 6 Basingstoke, Hampshire: road marking
Work to improve journeys by renewing the road markings along the M3 continues this week. Lane closures will be in place on the southbound carriageway overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Tuesday 14 June for 4 nights. In addition, the southbound exit slip road at junction 5 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Thursday 16 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 6.
M3 junction 10 Winchester, Hampshire: signage maintenance
Work to keep road users informed by maintaining the signage along the M3 takes place this week. A lane of the northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Monday 13 June.
M3 junction 13 Eastleigh, Hampshire: road marking
Work to improve journeys by renewing the road markings along the M3 continues this week. The southbound exit slip road at junction 13 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Monday 13 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 12.
M4 junctions 5 Slough to 7 Maidenhead, Berkshire: drainage and verge survey
Work to maintain safety by carrying out drainage and verge surveys continues this week. Lane closures will be in place on both carriageways overnight, between 9pm and 6am, until the autumn (Monday to Friday only).

M4 junctions 13 Chieveley to 12 Theale, West Berkshire: resurfacing
Work to improve journeys by resurfacing a section of the eastbound carriageway near Hermitage starts this week. The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Tuesday 14 June for 5 nights (Monday to Friday only). A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A4.
M4 junctions 14 Hungerford, West Berkshire to 15 Swindon, Wiltshire: barrier repair
Work to improve safety by carrying out repairs to the emergency crossing points in the central reserve along the M4 takes place this week. Lanes 2 and 3 of both carriageways will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 13 June for 4 nights.
M27 junction 5 Eastleigh, Hampshire: road marking
Work to improve journeys by renewing the road markings along the M27 continues this week. The westbound exit slip road at junction 5 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Monday 13 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 3.
M27 junction 12/M275 Portsmouth, Hampshire: road marking
Work to improve journeys by renewing the road markings along the M27 continues this week. The M275 northbound carriageway and the link to the A27 eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Tuesday 14 June for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A3 (Twyford Road, Northern Parade, London Road) to re-join the A27 at the Portsbridge roundabout.
A3 Clanfield, Hampshire: signage maintenance
Work to keep road users informed by maintaining the signage along the A3 takes place this week. A lane closure will be in place on the southbound carriageway overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Friday 17 June. In addition, the layby adjacent to the southbound carriageway will be closed during the same period.
A3 Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Hampshire: signage maintenance
Work to keep road users informed by maintaining the signage along the A3 takes place this week. The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Tuesday 14 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Weston junction.
A3 Petersfield, Hampshire: signage maintenance
Work to keep road users informed by maintaining the signage along the A3 takes place this week. A lane closure will be in place on both carriageways overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Thursday 16 June. In addition, the laybys adjacent to the northbound carriageway near Weston and the southbound carriageway near Sheet will be closed during the same period.
A3 Hindhead Tunnel, Surrey: tunnel maintenance
Work to maintain journeys by carrying out tunnel maintenance takes place this week. The Hindhead Tunnel will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 13 June for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A325 and A31.
A31 Ringwood to Picket Post, Hampshire: signage maintenance
Work to keep road users informed by maintaining the signage along the A31 takes place this week. Lane closures will be in place on both carriageways overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 13 June for 2 nights.
A34 Chilton interchange, Oxfordshire: junction improvement
Work to improve journey times and safety by constructing new slip roads and improving the layout of the Chilton interchange continues this week. The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, until the end of June (Monday to Friday only). A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the Milton Interchange. Work is due to be completed in summer 2016.

A34 Hinksey Hill to Botley (Oxford), Oxfordshire: sensor maintenance
Work to improve journeys by maintaining the technology sensors along the A34 takes place this week. Lane closures will be in place on both carriageways overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Tuesday 14 June for 2 nights.
A34 Botley Interchange (Oxford), Oxfordshire: surveying
Work to improve journeys by carrying out surveys at the junction starts this week. Lane closures will be in place on the north and southbound exit slip roads overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Wednesday 15 June for 3 nights.
A303 Overton to Bullington, Hampshire: vegetation clearance
Work to improve journeys by cutting back overgrown vegetation in the central reserve takes place this week. Lane 2 of both carriageways will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Monday 13 June.
A303 Longparish, Hampshire: signage maintenance
Work to keep road users informed by maintaining the signage along the A303 takes place this week. Lane 2 of the westbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Friday 17 June.
