The following summary of planned new and on-going road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 24 June but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
M1 junction 28 to 35a, Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire/Yorkshire: smart motorway
Until winter 2016, there will be various restrictions in place on the M1 between junctions 28 and 35a to allow for the construction of the smart motorway. These include lane closures, speed restrictions, hard shoulder running and overnight slip road or carriageway closures.
On Friday 1 July, the northbound entry slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am.
On Saturday 2 July, the northbound exit slip road at junction 35 will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am.
On Sunday 3 July, the northbound entry slip road at junction 35 will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6am.
M1 junction 19, Leicestershire: improvement work
The M1 to M6 northbound link road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from Monday 27 June until Friday 1 July. Diversions will be signposted.
A46 Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire: bridge maintenance work
The A46 northbound will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from Monday 27 to Thursday 30 June. Diversions will be signposted.
A1 Tuxford, Nottinghamshire: drainage work
The southbound entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight between 7pm and 6am until Friday 1 July. Diversions will be signposted.
A1 Woolsthorpe to Colsterworth, Lincolnshire: barrier repairs
The northbound entry slip road at Colsterworth (from A151) will be closed overnight between 8pm and 5am on Tuesday 28 June. Diversions will be signposted.
