To complete the scheme, full carriageway closures will be required along with slip roads, with the following working hours:
- from 21:00 to 06:00 on weeknights (Monday to Friday).
- from 21:00 on Friday to 12:00 on Saturday and from 20:00 on Saturday evening through to 12:00 on Sunday for extended overnight shifts.
In addition, there will also be two full weekend closures of the southbound carriageway from 30 September to 3 October. The closure will be in place from 9pm to 6am each day from Friday evening until Monday morning.
