Planned roadworks in Yorkshire and the Humber – summary for Monday 20 to Sunday 26 April
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 17 April and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
M1 Junction 30 Chesterfield to Junction 31 Worksop
The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway project and there will be narrow lanes and a 50 mph speed limit until the project is completed in autumn 2015.
M1 Junction 39 Denby Dale to Junction 42 (M62 interchange)
The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway project and there will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2015.
M18 Junction 3 Doncaster
The southbound side of the motorway will be closed overnight for bridge maintenance work for three nights between junctions 4 and 3 from Wednesday 22 April. The carriageway will be closed between 8pm and 6am, with a clearly signed diversion in place.
M62 Junction 26 Bradford (M606) to Junction 27 Leeds (M621)
There will be three lanes closed eastbound overnight on Monday 20 April between 8pm and 6am for technology work.
M62 Junction 27 Leeds (M621) to Junction 28 Tingley
There will be three lanes closed eastbound overnight on Tuesday 21 April between 8pm and 6am for technology work.
M62 Junction 29 (M1 interchange)
Both sides of the motorway will be closed overnight for two nights for bridge inspection work between the exit and entry slip roads at junction 29 from Tuesday 21 April. The motorway will be closed between 8pm and 6am, with traffic diverted off and then back on the motorway at the junction.
M62 Junction 30 Rothwell to Junction 32 Castleford
The eastbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed for five nights from Monday 20 April. The closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow a clearly signed diversion route.
M62 Junction 37 Howden to Junction 38 North Cave (A63)
There will be two lanes closed in both directions for three nights between 8pm and 6am from Monday 20 April for concrete wall repair work.
A63 Alexandra Dock to Market Place, Hull
The road will be closed for maintenance work to Myton swing bridge between 6am and 2pm on Sunday 26 April, with a clearly signed diversion in place.
