Prime Minister’s letter to the Belgian Prime Minister, Elio Di Rupo

Dear Elio,

I was appalled to hear of the shootings at the Jewish Museum yesterday. We join you in condemning this dreadful attack and will work with you to confront such bigotry across Europe.

Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims.

With best wishes,

David

Foreign Secretary’s message to the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Didier Reynders

I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the shootings at the Jewish Museum yesterday. My thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims, as well as the Belgian people.

Tragic events like these only strengthen our resolve to work with you and others to eliminate such shocking extremist, discriminatory behaviour in Europe and elsewhere across the world.
