PM call with Carwyn Jones: 9 May 2015
Prime Minister David Cameron spoke to Carwyn Jones, First Minister of Wales, this afternoon to congratulate him on his re-election.
A Downing Street spokesperson said:
The Prime Minister telephoned Carwyn Jones today, following the election results confirmed in Wales. The Prime Minister congratulated Mr Jones on his re-election and on his party having the largest representation in the Welsh Assembly.
The Prime Minister and Mr Jones agreed that the UK and Welsh governments must continue to work together on the future of the steel industry across the UK. The 2 leaders also discussed ways of working together to continue to make the case for the UK remaining in the EU, ahead of the referendum on 23 June.
