PM call with Francois Hollande: 5 December 2015
David Cameron spoke with President Francois Hollande about airstrikes in Syria and the UK's renegotiations of its EU membership.
A Downing Street spokesperson said:
The Prime Minister called President Hollande on Saturday 5 December.
The President congratulated the Prime Minister on the outcome of last week’s vote to extend airstrikes to Syria, and said he was pleased that the UK and France would now be working together to defeat Daesh in their heartlands.
The Prime Minister and the President agreed to step up intelligence-sharing and counter-terrorism co-operation.
The Prime Minister noted that he hoped to have a substantive discussion on the UK’s renegotiation at the December European Council.
