PM calls with President Tusk and President Hollande: 4 November 2016
The Prime Minister spoke with the President of the European Council and the French President after the High Court judgement on Article 50.
A Downing Street spokesperson said:
This afternoon the Prime Minister called both President Tusk and President Hollande to update them following the judgment from the High Court yesterday.
As with her phone calls this morning, the Prime Minister said that the government had strong legal arguments that it would be taking to the Supreme Court in December. The Prime Minister also confirmed that the government’s planned timetable for triggering Article 50 is unchanged after the court ruling.
Both Presidents Tusk and Hollande thanked the Prime Minister for the update.
