PM meeting with President Hollande in Paris: 15 February 2016
Prime Minister David Cameron and President Hollande held discussions in Paris on the UK renegotiation and Syria.
A Number 10 spokesperson said:
The Prime Minister and President Hollande had constructive discussions on both the UK renegotiation and Syria in Paris this evening.
They agreed that we are making good progress on the UK renegotiation and that the draft text from the European Council provides a firm basis to reach agreement at this week’s summit.
On Syria, both expressed grave concern at the current situation and the actions of Russia in particular. They agreed on the importance of the proposed ceasefire and getting all parties back round the negotiating table. In this context, they agreed that the UK and France should engage further with international partners in the coming days to support this.
