PM phone call with President Aquino of the Philippines
The Prime Minister called President Aquino to offer the UK’s support as the Philippines deal with the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan.

Following the call, a Downing Street spokesperson said:
The Prime Minister said that our thoughts are with all those affected, especially those who have lost loved ones.
This weekend we announced a package of £6 million emergency humanitarian support to help more than 500,000 people affected by the storm, including temporary shelters and essential household items. We have also sent 4 humanitarian experts to the Philippines to assist 3 advisers already in the country helping to coordinate the international response.
