Her Majesty’s Ambassador John Marshall hosted a lunch on Wednesday 10 September for Ms Gnima Diop, who will take up her place at the University of Leeds later this month as our Chevening scholar for this academic year. This was a great opportunity for her to learn a bit more about the UK from the Ambassador and his Deputy, Harriet King, and for her to share her perspectives on the MA in International Development Course she is about to undertake.

Gnima has worked so far for LTL Strategies, an international development and business consulting firm, which supports companies, organizations, international institutions and governments to improve and expand their activities domestically and internationally. Gnima has plenty of ideas for ways in which she will apply her experience in the UK to her future work in Senegal upon her return.

If you are interested in applying for the next Chevening Scholarship Programme (2015-16), take a look at www.chevening.org for more details on how to apply.
