Press briefing: afternoon 3 December 2013

The Prime Minister’s Spokesperson (PMS) answered questions on trade with China and infrastructure.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Trade with China

Asked about the EU commission’s response to a trade deal with China, the PMS said it was about jobs and growth. The Prime Minister (PM) had spoken about the importance of 2 way trade and making sure British firms were able to make the most of opportunities.

Infrastructure

Asked about the pace of infrastructure projects, the PMS said the government is delivering and building important infrastructure projects. The first Crossrail tunnel has been completed and over 30 road projects have been completed since the 2010 Spending Review.
