The Prime Minister's Spokesperson answered questions on the Scottish referendum and the Governor of the Bank of England.
Scottish referendum
Asked about proposals for further devolution in Scotland the Prime Minister’s Spokesperson (PMS) said the government’s focus is on the choice being put to the people of Scotland; the latest proposals on fiscal devolution builds on previous discussions and are in line with commissions and policies such as silk and local mayors.
Governor of the Bank of England
Asked about a general rise in pay, the PMS said salary increases was a decision for employers; he added that a growing economy is vital for higher wages and with 1.6 million jobs created in the private sector under this government this showed the importance of sticking to the long term economic plan.
