Press briefing: morning 15 September 2015

The Prime Minister's Official Spokesperson answered questions about the Trade Union Bill, EU reform, the independence referendum and Syria.

Trade Union Bill (No.2)

When asked about the Trade Union Bill (No.2) the Prime Minister’s Official Spokesperson (PMOS) noted that the Bill was debated in the Commons yesterday, and passed through its second reading with a majority.

EU reform

When asked about EU reform the PMOS said the Prime Minister had been clear on the 4 areas on which he was seeking reform.

Independence referendum

When asked about the independence referendum the PMOS said that the government was focused on delivering more powers for Scotland.

Syria

When asked about Syria the PMOS noted that the Prime Minister had spoken about the need for continued effort to find a political solution to the conflict in Syria.
